On Sunday, December 14, 2008, a one-day excursion to the tunnels of the Corinth-Patra section of ERGOSE and a technical visit to the Aigio tunnel took place. The Corinth-Patra tunnels are of great interest, due to the particular geological formations and tectonic regime governing the Gulf of Corinth.

Visit Program
• Departure by coach from Athens, Karaiskaki Square (8:30).
• Information on the geology and tectonics of the Gulf of Corinth along the way.
• Stops at the front areas of the Platanos and Trebbes tunnels.
• Information from ERGOSE on the Corinth-Patra tunnels.
• Visit to the Aigio tunnel.
• Lunch.
• Return to Athens at approximately 17:00.
