The strengthening of ties and the promotion of knowledge between scientific associations form a cornerstone for the advancement of the underground construction sector. In this context, we are delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Greek Tunnelling Society (GTS) and the Pakistan Tunneling & Trenchless Society (PTTS).

The MoU was signed by the President of GTS, Professor A. Benardos, and the Vice President of PTTS, Mr. Asif Riaz, marking an important step in enhancing international relations and fostering collaboration in the fields of research, knowledge exchange, and professional development in underground construction.

A key priority of the Greek Tunnelling Society (GTS) remains the dissemination of knowledge and the culture of underground works development, as well as the provision of support and technical expertise to fellow organizations, thus contributing to the global progress of the sector. This collaboration also creates new opportunities for connection between academic and professional entities, as well as business prospects for the tunneling communities of both countries.

GTS also extends its sincere thanks to its former President, Mr. N. Roussos, who played a leading role and encouraged the two sister scientific associations in the signing of this MoU.
