We announce with great pleasure, that Professor Chrysothemis Paraskevopoulou (Treasurer of the GTS ExCo) and Mr. Ioannis Fikiris (former GTS President and current Vice President of ITA) are representing the Greek Tunnelling Society (GTS) on the ITACET Committee on University Network. Prof. Paraskevopoulou assumes the role of Chair of the Committee, while Mr. Fikiris will serve as the new tutor of the Committee to support and oversee its work.

Of course GTS would like to congratulate also Prof. M. Thewes and Prof. S. Potnis who take important roles in the ITACET committee. 

The election of GTS members to these positions and their involvement in this global platform for knowledge exchange and innovation in tunnelling and underground works is a special honour for the Society. GTS wishes them a fruitful, creative, and productive term and every success in their new roles.

Furthermore, GTS would like to warmly thank Prof. Georgios Anagnostou (ETH Zurich) and GTS member (Chair of the Scientific Committee of the WTC2023 conference), who is stepping down from his position as Chair of the Committee. We wish him all the best in his next endeavors.
